Parking on Campus
Central Oregon Community College (COCC) provides designated parking areas for students, staff, residents, faculty, and visitors. With over 1,000 people on campus each day, parking at COCC can get a little crazy. Campus Public Safety regulates parking with the use of parking permits. Most vehicles at COCC are required to display a permit, in order to avoid receiving a citation.
Vehicles which belong to students, must display current COCC parking permits. Student permits are free and available from the Boyle Education Center Information Booth, the Redmond Building 3 front office, the Prineville campus front office, and the Madras campus front office.
Staff & Faculty Permits
Vehicles which belong to staff and faculty, must display current COCC parking permits. Staff and faculty permits are free and available from the Boyle Education Center Information Booth, the Redmond Building 3 front office, the Prineville campus front office, and the Madras campus front office.
Visitor parking permits are available from the Boyle Education Center Information Booth, the Enrollment Services Office, and the Campus Public Safety Office. Individual college departments may also issue visitor permits.
Resident Parking Permits
Residents of Wickiup Hall must display a current resident parking permit on their vehicle. Campus residents are only permitted to park overnight in the "I" and "F" lots.
Traffic and Parking Regulations
COCC has established both traffic and parking regulations to maintain safe and orderly driving and parking on each campus. It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator, to park appropriately and operate their vehicle in a safe manner.
The Citation Appeals Committee has the responsibility of hearing and judging all citation appeals (ADA and city citations excluded). If you believe you received a citation in error, or there were extenuating circumstances which should be considered, you have the right to appeal your citation. Appeal forms are available at the Campus Public Safety Office in the Boyle Education Center, the Information Booth in the Boyle Education Center, the ASCOCC Student Government Office in the Coats Campus Center, and at the Cashier Station in the Boyle Education Center. The appeal form may also be downloaded and printed below.
All completed appeal forms, with the original citation attached, must be submitted in person to the Campus Public Safety Office.
For questions regarding the citation appeal process, please contact Campus Public Safety at (541) 383-7272.
