The next nine-month course starts in October 2009 in Bend. It is specifically designed for working professionals wishing to apply sustainable concepts to the buildings they design, develop, and construct - buildings that are energy and resource efficient, healthy working and living environments, environmentally responsible and cost effective. For detailed course content, see the SBA course outline.

Designed for Architects, Engineers, Home Designers, Tenant and Developer Representatives, Construction and Capital Project Managers, Building Operators and other Building Industry Professionals, information is presented in a highly interactive manner delivered by expert instructors and includes small group projects and field trips to see sustainable building concepts implemented.

Continuing Education Approval
The Sustainable Building Advisor course has been approved through the US Green Building Council Education Provider Program as a 400-Level Mastery course. This designation recognizes the course for its top-quality content and instruction and can be found in the growing catalog of GreenBuild 365 courses online at

It is also approved by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES) for 100 learning units.
