Personal Trainer Certification Prep
Prepare for personal fitness training certification. Topics include biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage, health assessment and basic business topics related to personal training. You will learn how to assess flexibility and endurance, cardio-respiratory health, body composition and muscle strength. Understand the benefits and risks of physical activity and how to accomplish health screening and risk stratification. Basic anatomy and kinesiology will be covered. Hands-on training in proper and safe execution of resistance, cardio-respiratory and flexibility exercises. Learn the basics of sound nutritional principles and how to incorporate them into fitness training.
Katie Mital is a certified personal trainer, clinical exercise specialist and sports nutritionist. She has a master’s degree in Science (Human Movement) with emphasis on Corrective Exercise.
