Business advising is our specialty! Our advising is free, focuses on existing business needs, and helps you identify and make critical business decisions. Those looking to start a business should take one of our "How to Start a Business" classes (see below)prior to their first advising appointment. Whatever your business needs may be, the Small Business Development Center can help. We offer a wide range of classes in topics such as start-up, management, marketing, software training, and web design.
Looking for long-term, hands-on business assistance? Is your company in need of an objective eye and a professional ear? If so, take our year-long SBM course and get comprehensive monthly classroom help together with individual on-site business advising customized to your business needs. BizCenter services are available to anyone who owns or operates - or is considering starting - a small business in Oregon. This is your business support team.
The Small Business Administration and most other funding organizations do not provide grants or "free money" for starting or developing a business. Although there are some grants available, they generally are very targeted.
As a small employer (not more than 50 employees), you can use this online training program for free. By special arrangement with New Media Learning, COCC has obtained authorization of use for small employers located in Central Oregon. |
