Pain Management in Health Care - October 24, 2008
This one-day workshop designed for health care professionals covers the impact of unrelieved pain, barriers to appropriate pain management, pain assessment and management strategies, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions. The goal of this workshop is to improve the quality of pain management in Central Oregon and help health professionals meet the continuing education requirement mandated by Senate Bill 885. Pharmacy Technician Training Program - Starts October 13, 2008

Advanced Phlebotomy - October 18, 2008
For experienced Phlebotomists and Lab Assistants, this workshop will further develop your skills on the job, including constructive communication with patients and family and effective techniques for drawing in challenging situations. Also covers an update on current safety and regulatory issues, pre-analytical errors, basic concepts of lab values interpretation and their correlation with specific disease states. Nutritional Therapy Training Course - Starts October 11, 2008
This 14 Module course presented by The Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc. (NTA), taught over 8 months (fall, winter and spring quarter), trains students to conduct functional evaluations, balance body chemistry, and help others achieve vibrant health and wellness. Students will learn the role of diet, nutrition and lifestyle, learn to assess individual nutritional status and offer dietary counseling, and address nutritional deficiencies.
